Gudivada, Krishna District — Ten individuals have fallen victim to a job scam in Gudivada where they were promised employment in the municipal sanitation department. The perpetrators allegedly demanded bribes from the victims, promising them jobs that never materialized.
According to the police, the accused—names include Gullapalli Srinivas Rao, Addepalli Purushottam, and Haribabu—took money from those desperate for employment but failed to deliver on any job appointments. Many of the victims took loans to meet the demand. An FIR has been lodged after complaints were filed with the Gudivada One Town police station.
Victims are now appealing to authorities for justice and refunds. Local nonprofit groups have stepped forward to offer legal advice. Meanwhile, the police are investigating the accused, collecting evidence of the promised job letters (if any), bank transactions, and witness statements.
